Golf is a rotational sport played by bodies that mostly move forward. Hips Don't Slice is a 50-minute functional workshop hosted by Mike of Golf Dad Diaries at La Forme in Des Peres on Friday, September 18, from 5:30 to 6:20pm. It is built around the three things your swing asks for and your training rarely gives it: deep core stability, rotational power, and hip mobility.
You will work on modern reformers in a room capped at 12, so your instructor sees your setup, your turn, and the side you tend to guard — and corrects it while you are still in the movement. No experience on a reformer is needed. This is not a class dressed up for golfers; it is built for the swing, and the mega gives us the resistance and the range to train rotation the way the course actually demands it.
You will leave with a fuller backswing that comes from your hips instead of your low back, a torso that holds position through impact, and a warm-up you can run before your next round. $20 for members, $45 for non-members, 12 spots total. Bring grip socks. Full refund up to 48 hours out; inside 48 hours you can transfer your spot to someone else at no charge.
